The Catalonia club officially announced which numbers the team's footballers chose for the 2016-2017 season.
This year, unlike before, no "Barcelona" veteran wanted to change their shirt number.
In the summer, Samuel Umtiti, acquired from Lyon's "Olympique", will wear the shirt marked with the number 23, previously belonging to Thomas Vermaelen.
Lucas Digne chose the number 19, which previously belonged to Sandro Ramirez, and Denis Suarez will play with the number 6, supported by club legend Xavi Hernandez. The charismatic Catalan himself encouraged the young midfielder to choose the number 6.
By the way, the shirt with the same number was worn last season by the Brazilian Daniel Alves, who moved to Turin's "Juventus".
Two players acquired from "Valencia" - defender Andre Gomes and forward Paco Alcacer - chose the numbers 21 and 17 respectively.
The Portuguese shirt number previously belonged to Brazilian Adriano Correia, and Paco will wear the shirt marked with the former Munir El Haddad's number.
Only Jasper Cillessen did not have the opportunity to choose - in Spain, goalkeepers can only play with shirts marked with the numbers 1, 13, or 25, so the Dutchman got Claudio Bravo's former number.
In the elite "Barcelona" team, there are a total of 22 players, so three numbers remain unchosen - 2, 15, and 16.
