"Barcelona" president: "Difficult to explain what happened"

In the football community, talks about the miraculous performance of "Liverpool" in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals continue to this day.

Jurgen Klopp's team, having lost the first match to "Barcelona" with a score of 0:3, created a real sauna for their opponents at the "Anfield" stadium on Tuesday evening and achieved a sensational victory of 4:0. Practically having already had a ticket to the final in their pocket for the fourth year in a row, the Catalans will once again be left without the trophy of this tournament.

After the match in Liverpool, the club president Josep Bartomeu, in conversation with the media, could hardly explain such a performance by the team.

"I feel so bad for our fans, especially those who came to Liverpool," J. Bartomeu began the conversation. "This has already happened to us with 'Roma,' and now the same thing happened in Liverpool."

"I congratulated them on reaching the final. For now, I refuse to name the reasons why we couldn't make it to the final. We will have time to analyze the situation, but explaining this failure now is truly difficult."

Asked about the rather curious fourth goal of "Liverpool," J. Bartomeu replied: "There is no explanation for what happened there. Perhaps it was a surprise from the opponents, but I'm not sure. I haven't talked about it with the coach or the players."
