On Tuesday, the "Barcelona" leaders who held a press conference announced the amounts of all the players bought and sold by them this summer.
Introducing the changes in the team, the vice president of the Catalan club, Jordi Mestre, and the sports director Andoni Zubizarreta emphasized that the team undertakes such a "transparency policy" feeling responsible towards their fans and the football community.
"We know that in this aspect, "Barcelona" is an exceptional club, so this information is presented as proof of our openness and transparency," said J. Mestre.
The most expensive purchase of this summer for the Catalan club was Uruguayan Luis Suarez, acquired from "Liverpool" for 81 million 125 thousand euros.
It is often customary for the teams making a deal to agree on additional amounts, depending on the trophies won or the number of matches played by the sold footballer. However, in this case, such payments do not apply to the English team.
Additional funds will also follow for Jeremy Mathieu, whom "Barcelona" acquired for 20 million euros.
The third in terms of purchase price is the Croatian Ivan Rakitić. The Spanish vice champions paid 18 million euros for the former "Sevilla" midfielder, with an additional 3 million euros that could be added to the team's budget depending on the team's and player's achievements.
The most expensive player sold by "Barcelona" this summer was Alexis Sanchez. The London "Arsenal" team paid 42 million 500 thousand euros for him.
For Cesc Fabregas, who now represents the London "Chelsea" team, Barcelona received 33 million euros and could receive an additional payment of 3 million euros, depending on the number of matches played by the midfielder.
In total, during the summer of 2014, "Barcelona" spent 157 million 250 thousand euros to acquire new players, and received 80 million 800 thousand euros for the players sold.
Due to FIFA transfer ban, the Catalan club will not be able to acquire new foreign players until January 2016.
