Sparks between the players began after the 3:4 loss at home to the "Real Betis" team. The Spanish media caught the players in a war of words.
L. Suarez said to the defender: "You, darn it, will start passing me the ball. Don't joke with me."
G. Pique, not wanting to get involved in the argument, simply confirmed that he would do so.
The defender also had a not-so-friendly conversation with Arturo Vidal after the match. The defender told the Chilean: "If you say the ball is mine, fine, but I've never heard the word 'yes' in my life".
