"Barcelona" start in Spanish championships - the worst in 25 years

Lionel Messi's injury to the "Barcelona" team has had a greater impact than initially thought - the Argentinean, who is still unable to play full matches, had to swallow another bitter pill on Saturday.

Without Messi, "Barcelona" started the match with a 0:2 loss to the "Granada" team. For the Catalans, this was their second failure this season, dropping them to 7th place in the "La Liga" championship.

"Barcelona" has also managed to secure two victories this season, drew once and has 7 points so far.

"OptaJose" calculates that 7 points after the first five rounds is the worst start for the "Barcelona" team since the 1994/95 season. This means that "Barca" hasn't had such a poor start in the Spanish championship in the past 25 years.

Furthermore, "Barcelona" has not kept a clean sheet in any "La Liga" match this season - conceding a total of nine goals in five rounds.
