In the Spanish "La Liga" championship on Sunday, four more matches of the 19th round were played.
The "Barcelona" team, seriously aiming for the country's champion title, clashed with San Sebastian's "Real Sociedad" away. The Catalans canceled a two-goal deficit and won at the "Anoeta" stadium for the first time since 2007.
The rainy game promised a lot to the hosts - Willian Jose scored an excellent header in the 11th minute, and Juanmi increased the advantage to two goals with a great strike in the 34th minute.
It seemed that the Basques were making a serious bid for victory, but the "Barca" team, playing superbly this season, had no intention of giving up. In the 39th minute, Paulinho reduced the deficit after a great pass from Luis Suarez.
In the second half, the Catalans did not intend to stop feeling the taste of goals - in the 50th minute, L. Suarez scored a fantastic goal to level the score. In the 71st minute, the same Uruguayan striker, after a not very successful "La Real" defense, started running alone towards the goalkeeper and, for the first time in this game, put the visitors ahead.
In the 85th minute, Lionel Messi put the final touch - the Argentine took a penalty kick from about 30 meters and wiped out all of "Real Sociedad's" efforts in this match with a superb goal.
"Barcelona" still has no competitors in the fight for the top position - they are 9 points ahead of the second-placed "Atletico". "Real Sociedad" remains in 15th place.
In other matches, "Sevilla" experienced another failure, failing to defeat "Alaves" away. Other matches ended with a victory for Vigo's "Celta" and a draw between Bilbao's "Athletic" and Barcelona's "Espanyol."
