“Barcelona” triumphed in the Spanish Super Cup.
In the semi-finals, the Catalans defeated “Real Betis” only after an 11-meter penalty shootout, and in the final they beat Madrid's “Real” players 3-0.
“Barca” started the match significantly better. In the 33rd minute, the team took the lead with a goal from Gavi, who coolly beat Thibaut Courtois.
At the end of the first half, Robert Lewandowski doubled the score after a pass from Gavi.
In the second half, “Real” had several chances to narrow the gap, but in the 69th minute Pedri finally sealed the deal. The young talent from “Barca” combined with another wonderkid, Gavi, and scored a goal.
In extra time, Karim Benzema scored a consolation goal.
The Catalans won their first Spanish Super Cup since 2018. At that time, “Real” did not defend this trophy.
