"Barcelona" won three more important points in the Spanish league

In the Spanish "La Liga" championship, two more matches of the 7th round were played on Saturday evening.

"Barcelona" recorded an important victory on their account, as they confidently defeated Madrid's "Getafe" with a score of 2:0.

Without Lionel Messi, Ansu Fati, and Ousmane Dembele playing, the Catalans started the match quite difficultly - "Getafe" was not afraid to press their opponents on their own side of the field.

In the first half-hour, there were opportunities on both sides - initially, Luis Suarez did not score from a promising situation, and a little later, Marc-Andre ter Stegen saved the visitors from conceding a goal.

In the 41st minute, "Barcelona" took the lead when L. Suarez finally scored. The Uruguayan unexpectedly received a pass from Ter Stegen who had left his goal and escaped from the "Getafe" defenders to direct the ball into the net.

The second half for "Barca" started fantastically - in the 49th minute, Junior Firpo increased their advantage by scoring his first goal in the Catalans' ranks.

In the 82nd minute, "Barcelona" had to play with ten men, but it did not change anything - the Catalans already had the victory in their hands. The only bad news is that Clement Lenglet will not be able to play against "Sevilla" in the next round due to disqualification.

For the first time this season, "Barca" kept a clean sheet and temporarily reduced their gap from the leader to one point.

In another match, "Granada" defeated "Leganes" by a minimal margin and temporarily climbed to the top of the tournament table.
