"Barcelona" general manager Oscar Grau says that the club is not inclined towards "La Liga" desires to move some league matches outside of Spain.
Many Spanish clubs were upset by "La Liga's" agreement with an American company, which agreed to pay a substantial amount of money if certain country league matches take place in the United States.
In January, a match was planned in Miami between the clubs "Barcelona" and "Girona", but it was prevented from happening by neither the Spanish Football Federation nor FIFA.
"La Liga" added an hour to all matches, so before "Atletico" we will play at 13:00 local time. Speaking with the Chinese media, O. Grau said.
"Previously, this has never happened in Spain, but we are thinking globally. New market, new territories, so we have to adapt to it.
It is not a problem for us to change the hours. It's just a simple habit. We prioritize a large audience," continued the "Barcelona" representative.
"To play matches in Miami this year is very difficult. We no longer have time for that. If there is an opportunity to play in the USA, we should also consider China.
"Barcelona" has supported this project from the beginning. It is a good opportunity to promote "La Liga", as well as the "Barcelona" club. We can reach more fans, attract potential sponsors or new broadcasting rights.
It would be just one match out of 380 others. We can live with that. However, from the beginning, we said that we need to find a common solution and not let events get ahead of us," added the "Barcelona" general manager.
If "Barcelona" reacts positively to these "La Liga" plans, then another Spanish giant - Madrid's "Real" - categorically refuses to play matches outside of their country.
