From the UEFA Champions League tournament earlier than planned withdrew "Barcelona" promises to open the wallet for new purchases this summer.
According to "Mundo Deportivo," the Catalan team will hunt five footballers in the upcoming summer transfer window. Of course, first "Barca" will try to find a new strategist, as after the season, Luis Enrique will step down from the position of head coach.
According to the mentioned source, "Barcelona" has already found a candidate - it is Athletic Bilbao coach Ernesto Valverde.
However, the search for a new coach will be less important for "Barcelona" club in the summer than the composition of the team. One of the priority positions is full-backs.
"Barcelona" leaders are not completely satisfied with the performance of Sergi Roberto and Jordi Alba this season, so they are looking for new full-backs. The main candidate to strengthen the right-back position remains Hector Bellerin from London's "Arsenal," while on the left side, the Catalans want to see Theo Hernandez, who belongs to Madrid's "Atletico" club.
However, it will not be so easy to get Hernandez, as he is also being pursued by other European giants, but there is a high probability that the 19-year-old Frenchman will choose Real Madrid.
Another goal of "Barcelona" is to acquire a long-term replacement for Andres Iniesta. The main candidates are Paris Saint-Germain defender Marco Verratti and Liverpool leader Philippe Coutinho.
Philippe Coutinho is a more attacking player, so Barcelona will give priority to M. Verratti, who is a reliable center-back. In addition, the player himself has expressed a desire to join "Barcelona."
The final target for "Barcelona" next summer will be Gerard Deulofeu, who is currently playing successfully on loan at AC Milan. The former Spanish champion's pupil could be brought back for 12 million euros, which would have to be paid to the "Everton" club.
