"Barcelona" club has already made plans for the upcoming winter transfer window. According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", their main target is Ajax's center-back Matthijs De Ligt.
It is reported that the Catalans are interested in this 18-year-old talent mainly because they see similarities with their longtime pillar Gerard Pique.
Pique has been representing "Barca" for almost a decade, so if the young Dutchman eventually manages to become a player of the same level as Pique, it would be a huge success for the leaders of "La Liga".
However, Ajax is not willing to sell De Ligt. Just recently, the Dutch vice-champions had to say goodbye to another young center-back Davinson Sanchez, so they currently need a player in this position much more than money.
De Ligt has already played 16 matches in all competitions this season."
