After losing in the quarter-finals of the European Championship, forward Milan Baroš ended his career in the Czech national team.

National team representative Jaroslav Kolar told journalists: "Baroš announced it in the dressing room, so I can't quote him. Other footballers and coaches reacted with five minutes of applause, so the moment was emotional."

The 30-year-old Baroš, who represents Istanbul's "Galatasaray" club, scored 41 goals in 93 matches for the national team.

In the 2012 European Championship, he did not stand out, but he will remain in the history of European Championships as the top scorer of the 2004 European Championship with five goals.
