The Bundesliga championship on Wednesday evening saw four more matches from the 16th round.
At the "Allianz" stronghold, the two leaders of the championship - Munich's "Bayern" and "Leipzig" clashed. The Bavarians showed who the real masters in the German championship are - they defeated the league newcomers with a score of 3-0.
Carlo Ancelotti's players started the match powerfully - the hosts dominated with the ball from the first minute and created dangerous opportunities. The first goal fell in the 17th minute - Thiago Alcantara defeated the opponent's goalkeeper.
Soon after, "Bayern" celebrated a two-goal margin - Xabi Alonso scored. As if that wasn't enough, in the 30th minute, "Leipzig" was left with ten men when Emil Forsberg received a red card.
The final point in this duel was set at the end of the first half. Robert Lewandowski converted a penalty from 11 meters and helped his team secure an easy victory in the battle for the top spot.
So far, both teams had the same number of points, but after the victory, "Bayern" secured the top spot and now has a 3-point advantage over "Leipzig".
Other matches ended with victories for "Freiburg", "Hertha" Berlin and two draws.
