Leverkusen's "Bayer" continues to make every effort to get Florian Wirtz to sign a new contract.

Journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that the German champions have submitted an offer to the 21-year-old footballer and are now awaiting his decision.

It is reported that the German is being offered a contract until 2028, but it would include an option to leave in the summer of 2026 for a release clause.

The player's current contract is valid until the summer of 2027.

However, Munich's "Bayern" and "Manchester City" want to acquire F. Wirtz this coming summer. In that case, "Bayer" hopes to receive at least 120 million euros in a release clause for their leader.
