"Bayer Leverkusen" did not wait long for new acquisitions after the end of the season. The team was free to add Nurnberg striker Josip Drmic.

The 21-year-old footballer signed a contract with Bayer until 2019.

During the weekend, the young Swiss demonstrated the highest class in the Bundesliga season that just ended. He scored 17 goals in 33 matches.

"Josip Drmic has proven that he is a high-class player. I am glad that he has strengthened our team, which will aim for a successful performance in the Champions League next season," said club director Michael Schade.

This season, J. Drmic was the only player from Nurnberg's team. Previously, the striker wore the shirt of the main team of Zurich for three years.
