5th placed Leverkusen club in this season's Bundesliga expressed interest in Italian team represented by striker Stephen Makinwa.
The 22-year-old Nigerian arrived at the Sicilian team just last summer, but failed to displace Andrea Caracciolo or Davide Di Michele from the starting lineup or winter strengthening of the team.
Nevertheless, Makinwa caught the attention of the German club management and the club has already made a 7 million euro offer to Palermo and is waiting for an Italian response. Earlier, Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini had hinted at considering the possibility of selling Makinwa in the summer.
However, Bayer is not the only club interested in this footballer. Several Serie A clubs are also interested in the young striker, with Chievo, currently in 7th place in the Italian league, showing the most active interest in Makinwa.
