With Leverkusen's "Bayer," X. Alonso won 33 out of his first 50 matches. This is the third best result in the history of the league.
Only Hansi Flick (40) and Pep Guardiola (42) have managed to achieve more victories in their first 50 matches in the Bundesliga. Both did it with the Munich "Bayern" team, unlike the Spaniard.
"Bayer," by the way, is already unbeaten in 24 consecutive matches. The last time this club achieved such a series was in the 2009-10 season, when Jupp Heynckes was in charge of the team.
Leverkusen's club has a 10-point lead in the Bundesliga standings against "Bayer."
