"Bundesliga" championship - a new leader. On Sunday, Leverkusen's "Bayer" team crushed "Hoffenheim" 4:1 at home and climbed to the top of the league table. The hosts took the lead as early as the 4th minute after Leon Bailey's goal. The same Jamaican doubled Bayer's advantage in the 27th minute. Hoffenheim's hope was revived in the 50th minute by Christoph Baumgartner, but just five minutes later Florian Wirtz restored Bayer's two-goal lead. The guest's situation became unenviable after two red cards - Florian Grillitsch was sent off the field in the 64th minute, and Stefan Posch in the 79th. Bayer sealed the victory with a penalty kick converted by Lucas Alario in the 91st minute. Other results: "Augsburg" 2:2 "Schalke".
