Leverkusen's "Bayer" officially announced on Friday that midfielder Charles Aranguiz has signed a new contract that will be valid until the summer of 2023. The 31-year-old Chilean's contract would have expired after this season, and there were reports in the foreign media that Munich's "Bayern" were actively interested in his services. "This club and all its members have constantly supported me and welcomed me warmly, especially at the beginning when I couldn't play due to a serious injury. Aranguiz said after signing the contract. The midfielder scored 3 goals and made 6 assists in 27 games this season.
