On Sunday, another two matches of the Bundesliga championship 31st round were played. Leverkusen's Bayer, fighting for a place in the Champions League, unexpectedly failed to beat the struggling Schalke team in an away game - the match ended in a 1:1 draw. The hosts took the lead in the 51st minute when Daniel Caligiuri converted a penalty kick. Bayer leveled the score in the 81st minute when Juan Miranda scored an own goal.
