Bayer wants Man City talent

The Bayer team from Leverkusen has targeted Man City talent James McAtee.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Germans will request to loan the 22-year-old attacking midfielder until the end of the season.

The contract would include an option to buy the player for a certain amount next summer.

According to Bayer's strategist Xabi Alonso, the "citizens'" player could excellently substitute for the injured Frenchman Martin Terrier.

However, it is still unclear whether Man City coach Josep Guardiola will positively respond to Leverkusen's offer, as he believes J. McAtee can become a key player in the future.

In this Premier League season, J. McAtee has appeared on the field six times as a substitute and scored one goal.
