"Bayern" - a potential career station for M. Pochettino?

For over five years, Mauricio Pochettino's career at London's Tottenham club has come to an end - the Argentine who led the club to unseen heights was relieved of his duties as head coach on Tuesday evening.

During his career with Tottenham, M. Pochettino did not win a title, but during that time he created a young and talented team that managed to reach the UEFA Champions League final last season.

However, life after losing the Champions League final was not so beautiful: after 12 of the first English Premier League matches, only three victories were won, and a completely unusual position - 14th place.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, after such a poor start to the season, was forced to make changes - M. Pochettino was replaced in the coach's seat by Jose Mourinho, who has been knocking on the door of other European clubs this season.

M. Pochettino's tenure at the Spurs club did not end as imagined just a few months ago, but such a turning point for Tottenham in the near future may affect the club more than the strategist.

The 47-year-old football specialist, even after such a sad departure from Spurs, is still considered one of the best coaches in Europe, and there is no shortage of clubs interested in his services.

In recent years, M. Pochettino has been most associated with two clubs - Real Madrid and Manchester United. However, at this time, it does not seem realistic that at least one of these clubs will turn to the Argentine.

Real Madrid also had a difficult start to the season, but step by step is improving and it is obvious that Zinedine Zidane will continue his work until the end of the season and beyond.

The Man Utd team, like Tottenham, is not experiencing the best times this season, but there is still no doubt in the club's management about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Something dramatic would need to happen for Man Utd to change their main team leader at this stage of the season.

Without changes in coaching staff at these two clubs, it seems that the only real option left is the Bayern Munich club, with which M. Pochettino has been associated for the past few years.

The Bavarians are currently considering - after Niko Kovac's dismissal, Hansi Flick took over as interim coach until the winter break. The German media states that Bayern, depending on further results, will make a final decision on the head coach of the team in winter.

Bayern, before Pochettino's dismissal, had two serious candidates - Erik ten Hag and Pep Guardiola. The return of the latter raises the most doubts, while the Ajax strategist will only be available in the summer of 2020.

The Bavarian management is inclined to wait until summer, but according to speculation in the German media, everything will depend on the results of the coming months. If the results and the team's performance are not stable, Bayern will have no choice but to hire a new coach in the winter.
