"Bayern" chooses a new president

The "Bayern" team in Munich has a new president - 65-year-old German Herbert Hainer.

On Friday, elections were held at the Bayern club's headquarters, after which Uli Hoeness' successor was officially revealed. H. Hainer was a long-time general director of the "Adidas" company.

A total of 6091 club members participated in the vote - 79 voted against, 36 abstained, and an absolute majority supported this candidacy.

Together with H. Hainer, Dieter Mayer (first vice president) and Walter Mennekes (second vice president) are joining the leadership.

U. Hoeness served as Bayern president from 2009-2014 and 2016-2019.
