Munich's "Bayern" club sports director Matthias Sammer acknowledges that Thiago's situation is worrying.
The midfielder, who moved from the "Barcelona" team, has not been seen on the field for more than 5 months, as he has suffered a knee injury.
It was forecasted that the footballer would be ready to play from the beginning of this season, however, the club's coaching staff does not know when the Spaniard will be able to compete again.
"We don't know how long the rehabilitation period will last. We can't say for sure when Thiago will return to the field. We are very sorry that this situation is so complex," said M. Sammer.
Thiago moved to Bayern in 2013, but his adaptation in Germany was hindered by injuries. Last season, Thiago played 25 matches in all competitions.
