This upcoming summer promises to be one of the "most fertile" in the free agent market, with German champions Bayern Munich also not standing still. BILD journalist Christian Falk reports that Bayern began contacting representatives of Borussia Mönchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter this week. However, this is a backup option for the Bavarians if they fail to attract one of Chelsea defenders - Antonio Rüdiger or Andreas Christensen, adds C. Falk. Indeed, one of these transfers should take place in the summer, as all defenders will become free agents.
