"Bayern" defeats A. Novikovo's club in the quarterfinals of the German Cup (VIDEO)

On Wednesday, the last two participants of the German Cup semi-finals were determined.

Munich's "Bayern" faced off against "Bochum" from the second tier of the country's football league in an away game. Pep Guardiola's pupils had no difficulties and advanced with a 3-0 result.

In the 39th minute, Robert Lewandowski put Bavarians in the lead, and four minutes later, the opponents were left to play with ten men after Jan Simunek received a red card. However, Thomas Muller failed to convert a penalty kick and left hope for the hosts.

Unfortunately, goals from Thiago and R. Lewandowski in the second half ultimately crushed the opponents. "Bochum" team also includes Lithuanian player Arvydas Novikovas, but today the country's defender remained on the bench.

In the other quarter-final match, "Heidenheim" faced off against Berlin's "Hertha". The team from the German capital emerged victorious after a tough battle and advanced to the semi-finals.
