Munich's "Bayern" footballer Arjen Robben may soon find himself in Turkey. The 29-year-old Dutchman is strongly tempted by Istanbul's "Galatasaray" club. Although A. Robben's contract with "Bayern" is valid until June 2015, the Turks are ready to pay a €15 million ransom for the Bavarian club. The Netherlands national team winger moved to Germany from Real Madrid in 2009, but in recent years he has clashed with Bayern's management and fans more than once. The German love for A. Robben faded after the 2012 Champions League final in Munich, where he missed an 11-meter penalty in extra time, with the score tied at 1-1, and then the hosts lost to the English club after an 11-meter penalty shootout. Soon after these final matches in the summer of 2012, the fans of the Munich team even booed A. Robben at the friendly match at the "Allianz Arena" stadium against the Netherlands national team and "Bayern," causing the disappointed Dutchman to tell his friends that he wanted to leave the unwelcoming Germans. This winter, another Dutch national team footballer, Wesley Sneijder, who is a close friend of A. Robben, coincidentally moved to Istanbul's "Galatasaray."
