Today continues the 20th round of the Bundesliga championship, in which six matches have been played.
The defending champions and current leaders in the standings, Bayern Munich, were sent into a tailspin in the match against Hoffenheim.
After Joshua Kimmich's mistake in front of Serge Gnabry, an 11-meter penalty was awarded in the early moments. The forward from Bavaria failed to score into their goal after Sven Ulreich saved his attempt, but Mark Uth corrected the shot.
Shortly after, Gnabry finally scored with a long-range shot and provided Hoffenheim's footballers with a two-goal advantage. At that moment, it really seemed like Bayern could suffer their second defeat.
However, Juppo Heynckes's players quickly regrouped - after goals from Robert Lewandowski and Jerome Boateng, the score became even in the 25th minute.
More accurate shots for the fans gathered in the Allianz Arena had to wait until the middle of the second half, but they were ultimately delighted by Kingsley Coman, who scored after a corner kick taken by Arturo Vidal and Sandro Wagner.
Following this victory, Bayern lead the chasing pack, with Schalke trailing by 16 points. The latter club secured a hard-fought victory against Stuttgart, where Naldo and Amine Harit, who converted an 11-meter penalty, earned them three points early in the game.
It did not go well for RB Leipzig, who played a draw against Hamburg and dropped to fourth place. Bruma's goal in the 9th minute promised an easy victory for the favorites, but Filip Kostić quickly equalized, and Ralph Hasenhüttl's players failed to find their opponents' goal once again.
This round was not the best for Borussia Dortmund either, as they lost at home to Freiburg.
The hosts featured Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Shinji Kagawa scored the first goal in the ninth minute, but as in other matches of the day, the situation quickly changed.
Ultimately, Nils Petersen from the visitors not only equalized the score but also turned it around when Borussia's attacking leader remained empty-handed. It seemed more and more like Freiburg would take three points, but at least one was saved for BvB by defender Jeremy Toljan.
