On Wednesday evening the second semi-final of the German Cup took place. Munich's "Bayern" faced strong opposition from Frankfurt's "Eintracht", who have been struggling this season, but managed to secure a victory with a score of 2:1 and advanced to the tournament final. In the first half it seemed that "Bayern" would not face much resistance, and in the 14th minute Ivan Perisic put the hosts ahead on the scoreboard. However, in the second half "Eintracht" revived the intrigue on the field, and in the 69th minute Danny da Costa leveled the score. The visitors' joy was short-lived - just five minutes later, Robert Lewandowski restored the lead for "Bayern". Initially, the linesman signaled an offside, but after VAR review the decision was changed. "Eintracht" tried to equalize, but they failed to do so. In the final, which will take place in Berlin on July 4th, "Bayern" will face Leverkusen's "Bayer".
