„Bayern“ welcomes the winter break in the Bundesliga with a clear conscience. The "Bavarians" crushed the struggling "Wolfsburg" team 4-0 at home. In the first half, Thomas Muller scored a goal for the "Bayern" team. In the second half, Leroy Sane and Dayot Upamecano each added another goal, with Upamecano scoring his first goal representing the German champions. Finally, Robert Lewandowski put the icing on the cake, scoring his 69th goal of the year and his 43rd Bundesliga goal, breaking yet another Gerd Muller record of most goals in a calendar year in the Bundesliga. After this victory, "Bayern" pulled away from "Borussia" by 9 points, but BVB could potentially reduce the gap to 6 points before the winter break. The "Wolfsburg" team, theoretically, could drop to 16th place in this round.
