"Bayern" from Germany eliminated tournament champions "Borussia" (VIDEO)

On Wednesday, the last four matches of the German Cup quarterfinals were played.

An intriguing clash took place at the "Allianz" stadium, where two giants of the country clashed - Munich's "Bayern" against Dortmund's "Borussia". The champions were crowned in the quarterfinals - Bayern defeated BVB 2-1 and advanced further.

In the 12th minute, Jerome Boateng put Bayern ahead. The Bavarians looked much better than their opponents and increased their lead at the end of the first half through Thomas Muller.

In the second half, "Borussia" tried to get back in the game and the intrigue returned in the 77th minute when Andrej Yarmolenko scored after a precise pass from Shinji Kagawa.

However, the visitors from Dortmund were unable to save the game in the remaining time, and the match ended with a 2-1 victory for the hosts.

In other matches, Leverkusen's "Bayer", Bremen's "Werder" and Frankfurt's Eintracht also secured their spots in the quarterfinals.
