The executive director of "Bayern" Karl-Heinz Rummenigge hinted that German champions received a very generous offer for Thomas Muller this summer.
The winger was mostly linked with "Manchester United", but the club's manager did not confirm the interest of the "Red Devils".
"I'm talking about numbers that were really very big. If I were a bank manager, I would definitely have to accept the offer", - Rummenigge told Suddeutsche Zeitung.
"But as a football club, we allowed ourselves to close the door for him and these doors remain closed - I can promise everyone."
"One thing is clear - due to increased TV revenues in England, "Bayern's" situation will certainly not ease in the future."
According to Deloitte, this year was the first time when "Premier League" clubs collectively spent more than a billion pounds sterling.
