Munich's Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge says that media talks about Robert Lewandowski's move to Real Madrid are baseless.
In recent times, both German and Spanish media have been talking more and more about the 29-year-old footballer moving to Real this summer. Marca has already stated that Real and the player have reached an agreement, so it remains to formalize the details of the deal.
However, K-H. Rummenigge calls these talks "nonsense" and says that R. Lewandowski will continue to wear the Bayern jersey one hundred percent.
"I can give 100 percent assurance that Robert will play for Bayern next season," said the chairman. "What should prompt us to make changes in the team?"
"In this situation, I would like to remember the case of Franck Ribery in 2008, when Chelsea made a wonderful offer, but we showed then that no player can be bought from us without our consent," added K-H. Rummenigge.
