Munich's "Bayern" president Uli Hoeness revealed that the situation with Carlo Ancelotti became uncontrollable when five players turned against him.
The coach was officially fired from his duties yesterday - a day after the German champions lost 3-0 to "Paris Saint-Germain."
However, the club's executive director Karl-Heinz Rummenigge insisted that the decision was made due to results that did not meet expectations.
"Before Ancelotti, there were five players," Hoeness told Westfalenpost. "It was impossible to sort out from this situation."
Last season, dissatisfaction with the coach was publicly expressed by Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller, and Arjen Robben. The latter also refused to defend Ancelotti after the failure against PSG.
The 58-year-old specialist did not want to comment on the situation: "I don't want to talk, but I will write a statement."
