On Friday, the new 2013-14 season of the Bundesliga championship was officially opened in Germany.
In the only match, the champions Bayern Munich players were the first to play against Borussia Monchengladbach. The hosts secured a confident victory with a score of 3-1.
Josep Guardiola's team scored two goals in the first half. Arjen Robben scored the first goal, and Mario Mandzukic soon doubled the score.
However, the Bavarian team failed to keep a "clean sheet" and their teammate Dante scored an own goal in Manuel Neuer's net.
In the second half, Bayern continued to create dangerous attacks. In the 67th minute, a penalty kick was awarded near Monchengladbach's goal, which was missed by Thomas Muller, but a few seconds later another penalty was awarded, which this time was scored by David Alaba.
