In the Bundesliga matches on Saturday, the 31st round of games were played.
The Munich "Bayern" club had the unexpected opportunity to secure the champion's title earlier. Carlo Ancelotti's team defeated "Wolfsburg" in a match that took place at 19:30 Lithuanian time and secured another Bundesliga champion's title in Germany.
"Leipzig" had a chance earlier today in their match to theoretically fight for the title and keep their chances alive until the next round, but a draw with "Ingolstadt" gave Bayern the opportunity to celebrate the triumph in the Bundesliga with three rounds remaining.
Bayern did not intend to miss this opportunity and defeated Wolfsburg 6-0. Two goals were scored by Robert Lewandowski, and one each by David Alaba, Arjen Robben, Joshua Kimmich, and Thomas Muller.
Bayern now have 73 points and are 10 points ahead of second-placed "Leipzig". Leipzig can still earn nine more points in the remaining three rounds, but even three consecutive losses for Bayern would not change their position.
This title in the Bundesliga is the club's 28th in history. Munich's dominance in Germany has lasted for the fifth consecutive year.
Other matches ended with victories for "Gladbach Borussia," "Darmstadt," and Bremen "Werder," while Dortmund's "Borussia" was unable to add three points to their account.
All four teams that will play in the Champions League next season - Bayern, Leipzig, Dortmund's Borussia, and Hoffenheim - are already clear in the Bundesliga championship. However, the latter will still have to go through one qualifying round.
