Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal did not spare criticism for the team's defender Franck Ribery, whom he believes is not putting in enough effort to regain good form.
The Frenchman spent seven weeks recovering from injury, and after a brief appearance in a German championship match against "Nurnberg", he ran onto the field for a friendly match against "Unterhaching". Playing for 75 minutes, the player did not make a good impression on the coach.
"Franck did not try against 'Unterhaching' and did not seem committed to the team. It's very regrettable," said the Dutch coach. "There was little effort on the field, but Ribery - the least of all. He did not cause any trouble for the defenders, and yet I organize these matches not for myself."
It is worth noting that Bayern won the match 2-1, with Ribery himself scoring one of the goals.
