Bayern Munich confirmed on their official Twitter account that they have reached an agreement with Stuttgart for the acquisition of 19-year-old defender Joshua Kimmich.
However, the rising German star will only join the ranks of the national champions after the end of this season. By mutual agreement, he was allowed to finish the season with RB Leipzig, who are currently second in the Bundesliga in terms of strength.
Kimmich has been loaned to Leipzig and this season the German has already played 14 matches and made two assists.
The cost of J.Kimmich for Bayern has not been disclosed, but the duration of the contract is set at five years.
The young footballer has represented various age groups of the German national team, but had most success with the U19 team. Last year, J.Kimmich, together with his peers, became European champions.
