"Bayern" takes aim at F. Ribery © EuroFootball.com

Munich is planning to make a very tempting offer to the club for the acquisition of the new French football star Franck Ribery. 23-year-old Ribery was intensively interested in during the summer by Arsenal, Lyon and Real Madrid, with the London club even offering £13.5 million. However, Ribery himself stated in August that he would like to stay in Marseille. Ribery arrived at Marseille last summer from Galatasaray, and the past season was very successful for him. Additionally, this summer he became a vice-champion of the world with his national team. However, Bayern is determined to acquire the Frenchman. The president of the German club, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, noted that the prospect of signing F. Ribery is very tempting. Bayern also hopes that they might be able to do so during the player market opening in January. The Munich club has quite a few problems in the safe position - Michael Ballack and Ze Roberto left the team in the summer, Owen Hargreaves recently suffered a serious leg injury, Sebastien Deisler is continuing rehabilitation after an injury, so Ribery's arrival would solve many problems.
