Munich's "Bayern" team leader Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is confident that midfielder James Rodriguez will soon become a full-fledged German team player.
The portal "Goal" reports that the Bundesliga team is ready to pay 42 million euros to buy out the contract of the talent belonging to Madrid's "Real."
J.Rodriguez has been defending Bayern's colors for two years now - in his debut season he scored 7 goals and made 11 assists in 25 Bundesliga matches.
This year, he is performing worse - three goals and as many assists in 15 matches in the German league.
However, this has not reduced the attention of the Bayern team.
"I strongly believe that he will continue to play for our team next season. I am still a big fan of James and I am convinced that coach Kovac values him just as much as I do and is very happy with the Colombian," said K.H. Rummenigge.
Bayern will have to finalize the formalities by June 15 - as stipulated in the agreement with "Real."
