Bayern Munich confirmed that talented Renato Sanches, who recently joined the team, will not be able to start the season due to injury.
The 18-year-old footballer, who became a European champion with the Portuguese national team, was officially purchased from Benfica in Lisbon at the end of last season.
However, a long season, including the European Championship, will prevent the Portuguese from making his debut in the first match of the new season. It is said that R. Sanches suffered an ankle injury in the final against France, so he will be forced to miss about four weeks of games.
Bayern's season will begin on August 14, when they face Borussia Dortmund in the German Supercup.
