"Bayern" withdrew contract offer to D. Alaba © JumpStory

The Munich "Bayern" club got tired of the never-ending drama with the silent defender David Alaba. The German champions demanded the Austrian to make a decision regarding a new contract signing by October 31 and after not receiving a call from the athlete, they withdrew the offer. Club president Herbert Hainer spoke about it. "We presented him a very fair and competitive offer, especially in the current times. We warned the player's agent that we expect an answer by the end of October, as we need to make plans for such an important position, but we heard nothing. Sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic called the agent and heard that such an offer is still unacceptable and that we should think again. Then we decided to completely withdraw our offer," clarified the president. Bayern's contract with the 28-year-old defender will expire next summer.
