BBC awarded "Liverpool" player

"Liverpool" star Mohamed Salah had to overcome strong opponents in the fight for the prestigious trophy.

The BBC media group has reported that they have decided to name the 25-year-old Egyptian as the best African player, beating out Sadio Mane, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Naby Keita, and Victor Moses.

"I am very happy to have won this award - it is a special feeling. I wanted to thank everyone - both my teammates and the people I have had the opportunity to work with. Jurgen Klopp, the coach, greatly contributed to the successful start of "Liverpool" team", - said Salah, who also led the Egyptian national team to their first World Cup appearance since 1990.

Congrats to Mohamed Salah who has been named BBC African Footballer of the Year 2017!
