Portugal's Bebe, who was one of the worst signings of Sir Alex Ferguson's leadership team, admitted that he was even surprised that "Manchester United" showed interest in him in 2010.
The forward from the "Vitoria de Guimaraes" club was bought for a sum of 7.4 million pounds, and according to reports, the famous Scottish coach did not even watch the player play before acquiring him.
After four years and seven matches for the club, Bebe left the team by moving to "Benfica" team.
The 25-year-old player openly admitted that he was surprised by the attention of "United" and first of all thought that it was a joke intended for him.
"I was equally surprised. A week before the move, I still thought it was a joke and that someone just wanted to deceive me," - the player revealed in an interview with Metro.
Even after leaving the English team and returning to his hometown club "Benfica", Bebe failed to establish himself in the team and currently represents "Rayo Vallecano" on loan.
