England's national team coach Fabio Capello opened the doors for defender David Beckham to join the national team.

The experienced footballer went to the 2010 World Cup, but was not included in the squad and played an advisory role.

Currently, the Italian coach does not see any role for Beckham: "I haven't thought about it. He won't go to the European Championship next year, he will only participate in the Olympic Games. David is not in my plans right now."

Beckham has played 116 matches for the England national team. The last time he represented his country was in October 2009 in the World Cup qualifying match against Belarus.
