Madridthe „Atletico“ created a minimal advantage before the trip to Germany.
In the first Champions League quarterfinal match, „Atletico“ defeated Dortmund's „Borussia“ 2:1.
In the 4th minute, Rodrigo de Paulis scored for the Spanish team after a BVB mistake.
„Atletico“ looked great in the first half. In the 32nd minute, they managed to double the score - Samuel Lino scored a goal after a pass from Antoine Griezmann.
BVB struggled but managed to create a decent position for the second leg. Sebastian Haller scored in the 81st minute, adding more intrigue to the series.
Diego Simeone's team had more opportunities in this match, but they will only have a one-goal advantage in the tough „Signal Iduna Park“ stadium.
The second leg will take place next Tuesday in Germany.
