The Lithuanian national team is facing an unexpected problem.

After the recent concerts of Ed Sheeran that took place in Kaunas, the grass at the Darius and Girėnas Stadium has been severely worn.

As reported by 15min.lt journalist Marius Bagdonas, specialists are working hard to revive the grass, but in any case, even with partial success, it will be significantly damaged before the arriving opponents.

The situation will not improve as there will be a concert by singer Jessica Shy at the Kaunas arena on August 30.

If the grass problem is not resolved, the Nations League match against Cyprus on September 6 may be moved to Marijampolė or Vilnius.
