Project week four will have beginners trying out new games and ball striking exercises playing in pairs.
Immediately after the lessons, there will be games like "Hunt and geometric shapes" and "Pirates and sailors" expressing children's agility and creativity, which have various options.
The focus of the week's activities in the playgrounds and halls will be ball striking exercises, such as "Collect the numbers," which not only promote accuracy but also children's cooperation playing in pairs.
The lessons will be crowned with a team football game and reaction games using grids with balls.
Football player Greta Valikonienė has prepared individual exercises for the students, which will reveal ball control skills.
"Children really enjoy participating in the Beginners League and they have really become interested in football. We try to overcome the challenges of the week, as it turns out. We fill out task books and I noticed that last year, when they were first graders, they did not really understand all the tasks, but this year they eagerly and consciously perform each task. They try to calculate points correctly, watch their diet. We are very pleased to be part of the project for the second year."
"Before each exercise, we get acquainted in the classroom with what awaits us, and we will perform this week's exercise on Thursday. After watching the video clip in advance, we try to perform it. It turns out in different ways for us, because we have both more athletic children and those who have difficulty controlling the ball, but children still enjoy doing it," - shared impressions Birutė Veličkienė, a teacher from Zarasai's "Santarvė" primary school.
"We are doing quite well participating in the Beginners League, even though this is only our first year. We even regret that we were not involved in the activities of the Beginners League earlier. My students are fourth graders and they are doing well. We even had a case where one girl bought a soccer ball and plays with her dad, so this project has really "captivated" us. Fourth graders not only take balls in the hall, but also play in the main corridor and involve not only their class but also other classes. We are really very happy with these changes," - said Inga Šalnienė, a teacher of primary classes at Alytus Šaltiniai Gymnasium.
