On Sunday, four more UEFA Nations League A division matches were played. Belgians defeated England at home 2:0 in Group 2 matches, leaving the latter without a chance to fight for a spot in the semi-finals. The hosts took the lead already in the 10th minute, when Youri Tielemans scored accurately from about 16 meters. Dries Mertens excellently converted a penalty in the 24th minute. As it turned out later, this was the last goal in this match. This defeat blocked the English from progressing further in the battle for the first place in the group. Belgians currently lead Group 2 with 12 points, but in the last matches, the Danes could still take this position from them.
