"Benfica" acquired the captain of "Barcelona B"

On Tuesday, it was officially confirmed that “Benfica” acquired the captain of “Barcelona B” Alejandro Grimaldo for one and a half million euros.

Regarding this deal, “Barca” officially confirmed on their club's website, emphasizing that: “the club will also receive a corresponding amount from the sale of another player from the “Benfica” team”.

The left-back defender spent seven years in the youth teams of “Barcelona”. Like most players who come through this academy, he is technical, skilled with the ball, and has a good understanding of the game. He was called up to the main “Barca” team for the 2014-2015 preseason, but did not make his debut.

The 20-year-old player has played one game for the Spanish under-21 national team.
